Green U:
A Festival for the Environment

September 26, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Mark your calendar and program your PDA: this is one event you don’t want to miss. All things green in one festival to see, experience and learn more ways to live in an eco-friendly way. The Garden will host the first regional event on September 26th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you are exploring green living, this is the festival for you. If you are a veteran of green, this is the festival for you.

Learn how to make a rain barrel or participate in a geocache scavenger hunt. Peruse local produce and goods at Green U’s Farmer’s Market and enjoy food made with the earth’s best interest in mind.

There will be a solar frog jumping contest for kids and kids at heart. If you are not sure what a solar frog jumping contest is, check it out. It will be great fun and a bit educational. We assure you that no frogs have been or will be harmed during this contest.

Interested in fashion? This festival is for you. A non-typical and oh-so-sustainable fashion show is in the works and will definitely have you wearing, oops we mean thinking, green when selecting clothing.

Bring items to be recycled to cover the $5 admission fee. Each of these items will be equal to $1: empty Capri Sun juice pouches, cell phones, plastic bottles, aluminum cans and dry-cell household batteries.

Check back for more details as they become available.

Stroller Club Rolls On!
